Ben Bronz students Mia and Malik recently participated in ServSafe as part of their Consumer Science class. The National Restaurant Association developed this program to help set a standard for food safety training in the industry. The course covers personal hygiene, cross-contamination, time and temperature, cleaning and sanitizing, and more.
Mia and Malik had to take a course and pass an exam to earn their ServSafe Food Handler Certificates. Earning this certificate verifies that they have basic food safety knowledge and is a desired achievement for individuals seeking employment in the food industry.
We are proud of both of them!
