Curriculum

My name is Emma Lessard. This is my 10th year at Ben Bronz Academy. I previously worked for 2 years in New Hampshire at the Middle School level after graduating with my undergraduate degree from Rivier University in Elementary Education, Special Education, and Human Development. I’ve lived in New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, and now Connecticut!

When I moved to Connecticut, I completed my graduate degree in Special Education from Central Connecticut State University. This year I am continuing to work in curriculum development at BBA. I love learning about new programs, writing unit plans, coordinating learning standards with classroom text, integrating hands-on activities and technology, and watching a whole year of learning come together with some well thought out planning.

When I’m not here at BBA, I love spending time at the beach, exploring a new city or state on vacation, shopping at Target, discovering new finds at local thrift stores or tag sales, and spending time with my family. My daughter keeps me on my toes and VERY busy with any extra time I have! She is currently making sure I learn every word to Frozen and Frozen II so we can pretend play Anna and Elsa every single day 🙂
